German Bochum Barflies strengthen player development with 360Player

The Bochum Barflies Baseball & Softball e.V has announced the implementation of 360Player as its new all-in-one sports management platform, marking a major step in the club’s digital transformation and long-term growth strategy.

For more than 35 years, the Bochum Barflies have been committed to developing baseball and softball in Bochum, building a community-driven club that supports youth development, competitive teams, and school partnerships. What began as a single adult team has grown into two adult teams and three youth teams, reflecting the club’s strong expansion in recent years.

Peter Beargie, Director at Bochum Barflies, said:

We were looking for a unified platform that connects coaches, players, and parents while providing a repeatable structure for training and long-term player development. 360Player was the only solution that delivered this at club level.

Like many baseball clubs in Germany, the Barflies operate in a niche sports environment with limited funding, low media visibility, and heavy reliance on volunteers. To strengthen operations and improve player development, the club conducted a review of 10 digital solutions across more than 100 features before selecting 360Player.

With this implementation, we are taking the next step and preparing for the future of our club’s development. The platform allows us to centralize club processes, team management, and player development, replacing many tools that were previously scattered across individual teams.

By centralizing processes and supporting volunteer coaches with clear development frameworks, the Bochum Barflies are strengthening their position as a forward-thinking baseball club in Germany.
